Late Saturday September 7th – T-Storm Chances Lining Up
While starting hot & humid this coming week
JOPLIN, Mo. — Good late Saturday evening, everyone. First impressions of today certainly made it look like a nice day with mostly sunny skies. However, we held onto the heat and humidity for this afternoon. After we started in the upper 60s, highs returned to the lower 90s. You factor in the humidity and it felt like we were in the upper 90s to almost 100°. Thankfully, temperatures have cooled down once again after we got past sunset. Everyone is starting off on a quiet note this evening, but we are watching some t-storms out in central Kansas on the radar below…
Most of the t-storms coming out of central Kansas should stay just to our north, but we can’t rule out some isolated t-storms late in the overnight and as we head into Sunday morning. That’s due to a quick upper level disturbance clipping us to the north. We’ll have another hot & humid Sunday to wrap up the weekend on. To start the week, slight rain chances will be around due to a few weak upper-level disturbances passing by. By the end of the coming week, we’re still expecting rain chances to pick up. Your latest look at the week ahead is right below…
Don’t forget that Doug has your long range forecast out through the rest of September right below.
Have a good night and a great week!
