Late Saturday December 7th – Next wave ready to roll in

Looking at a cool week ahead of us
Late Saturday December 7th – Next wave ready to roll in

Good Saturday evening, everyone. The weekend has been nice and quiet for us so far. Our Saturday did have to start off on a cold note, but we took advantage of the sunshine we had today. We took temperatures out of the 20s and warmed up into the lower to middle 50s across the area this afternoon. Temperatures won’t turn so cold tonight with an increasing south wind and increasing clouds by Sunday morning. Despite the clouds picking up, we’ll stay dry on the radar below for tonight…

The increasing clouds will be ahead of our next cold front that’ll come in from the north over the next few days. In addition, the clouds are ahead of our next upper level wave that work in from the western United States. The two systems together will give us some rain chances to start the new work/school week out before it really cools us down by Tuesday. Your latest look at the week ahead is right below…

Don’t forget that Doug has your long range forecast out into late next January down below. Have a good night and a great Sunday!

Long range forecast through late next January:

December 15th – 21st: A cool to cold week with rain chances on Monday and Tuesday. We could mix with some wintry weather late in this system. Another system on Friday and Saturday with rain over snow by Friday.

December 22nd – 28th: Mainly a cold week with rain and snow chances on Sunday and Monday. Some light snow could linger into Christmas Eve. Another system with rain and snow chances on Friday and Saturday.

December 29th – January4th: Mainly another cold week. Just a slight chance for rain on Thursday and Saturday with weak fast moving waves.

January 5th – 11th: Rain, snow and ice chances to start the week. Then mainly cold again with rain and snow chances on Thursday. A fast wave over the weekend with a few rain or snow showers.

January 12th-18th: A cool start to the week with mild temperatures for the middle of the week. A weak mid-week wave with a few showers. Bigger system moves in by the weekend.
