Larry F. Graham, 84, of Pittsburg, KS, passed away at 4:04 a.m., Friday, April 30, 2021, at Ascension Via Christi Hospital in Pittsburg, KS.
Larry was born October 11, 1936, to Dallas and Gladis M. (Fox) Graham in Topeka, KS.
He served in the United States Army from 1953 until being Honorably Discharged as a Captain in 1973.
On April 7, 1956, he was united in marriage to Sarah Lucille Sterrett at Eskridge, KS. She preceded him in death on February 13, 2002.
On April 7, 2006, he was united in marriage to Barbara Umbarger at Eureka Springs, AR. She survives of the home, Pittsburg.
Larry was the Vice President of City National Bank/Commerce for 24 years before his retirement in 2001.
Memberships were held in the: Delta Sigma Pi (Business Frat) V.P.; Boy Scouts (Pack Cubmaster); Girl Scouts (Board Member); Jaycees; Moose Lodge; Countryside Methodist Church; American Institute of Banking (Board Member); Bank Administration Institute (President); Kansas Bankers Association; Masonic Lodge; Scottish Rite; Shrine; Elks; Chamber of Commerce; American Legion; VFW; MOAA; Employer Support for Guard and Reserves (Area Chair SEK).
In addition to his wife, Barbara, he is survived by four children: Scott Graham (Janet) of Weir, KS, Guyla Curl (Brian) of Pittsburg, KS, Doug Christy of Olathe, KS, and Gary Christy (Gaye) of Hideaway, TX; 11 grandchildren; and 9 great-grandchildren.
He is preceded in death by his parents and wife, Sarah.
A funeral service will be held at 10:00 a.m., Tuesday, May 4, 2021, at Brenner Mortuary, Pittsburg, with Reverend Jim Sukraw officiating. The service will be live streamed at www.brennermortuary.com through Larry’s obituary page. Burial will be at 12:30 p.m., Wednesday, May 5, at Memorial Park Cemetery, Topeka, KS. Masonic Rites will be given at 6:30 p.m., Monday, May 3, at Brenner Mortuary, where family will receive friends following the Rites until 7:30 p.m. The family suggests memorials to the Mirza Shrine General Fund.
