Hardman has been recruited to be a slot receiver for the Gorillas.
He got it done on both sides of the ball for Lamar last season. Hardman carried the ball 40 times for 482 yards and 11 touchdowns. He also caught seven passes for 195 yards and 5 touchdowns.
Defensively, Hardman made 34 tackles, including 3 tackles-for-loss. He also had 7 interceptions and one fumble recovery.
Hardman is also an electric special-teams player. Last season he returned three kicks and two punts for touchdowns.
“The recruitment process was great with Pitt State,” Hardman says, “I’m looking forward to playing there. It always felt like home.”
Hardman was a 2X All-State selection as a DB for Lamar. The Tigers won three state championships in his time at Lamar High School.
“I just hope to carry on a winning tradition at Pitt State,” Hardman says, “It’s a win today attitude at Lamar, and that’s what I’m going to take to Pitt State.”
Hardman will join his brother, Luke, on the Pitt State roster. Luke will be a redshirt sophomore for the Gorillas next season.
