Labette County’s Jameson signs to Pitt State track and field
Ethan Jameson will join Pitt State track and field
ALTAMONT, Kan. — Labette County High School senior Ethan Jameson signed his letter of intent on Tuesday afternoon to continue his track and field career at Pittsburg State.
Jameson will do the high jump for the Gorillas.
Jameson has proven to be one of the best in the state the last few years. He has finished top-5 in the state the last two seasons, including finishing 2nd last year.
“I’ve been wanting to do it since 8th grade,” Jameson says, “It means a lot to me that I will be able to do it in college.”
While he is going off to college, Jameson is happy he won’t be too far from home.
“It will be great,” Jameson adds, “I will be able to have my parents and my grandparents come and watch me. I’ll be able to come home and watch my brother play football and Joseph run. It’s just good that it’s close to home.”
