Labette Co. judge picked by Gov. Kelly for appeals court
Judge Jeffry Jack gets nomination
TOPEKA, Ks — A Labette County district judge could be moving up to the Kansas State Court of Appeals.
Governor Laura Kelly nominated Judge Jeffry Jack to replace retired Judge Patrick McAnany on the state’s second highest court. The appointment requires senate confirmation.
Jack, a Republican, has served as a trial court judge since 2005 and was a Kansas house member from 2003 to 2005 representing Parsons. Governor Kelly cited Jack’s legislative experience as a factor in selecting him for the position.
