WASHINGTON, D.C. – Federal health officials approved a covid-19 booster shot for people with compromised immune systems. The CDC says organ transplant recipients should be among those who get the extra dose. Doctor Anthony Fauci said everyone who received the Pfizer or Moderna vaccine will eventually need a booster shot. Extra COVID vaccine OK’d for those with weak immune systems
WASHINGTON, D.C. – The Pentagon is sending 3000 troops into Afghanistan just weeks before the August 31st draw-down date. LAMAR, Mo. – Law enforcement in Lamar, Missouri arrest a man accused of robbing a bank. Authorities say 50-year-old Rowdy Masterson of Lamar was leaving the Community National Bank and Trust Thursday, as officers were responding to calls that it was being robbed. DYERVILLE, Ia. – Major League Baseball built it, and the New York Yankees and Chicago White Sox came. The two teams squared off last night on a baseball diamond carved out of an Iowa cornfield. Chicago won the game, 9 to 8. The event was inspired by the 1989 film “Field of Dreams.” Major League Baseball says they’ll play another game there next season.
