Carthage, Mo – A family in Carthage had their car stolen and burned on Thanksgiving day. The Naylor’s were getting ready to leave to meet family for Thanksgiving. They started their car to warm it up and went inside to put their children in their car seats and jackets. Two minutes later, someone sped away in the car in broad daylight. The car was later found in Newton County in a ditch. It was burned to a crisp.

Miami, Ok – Sheriff Jeremy Floyd says a man walked into the Ottawa County Sheriff’s Office just after 10:00 P.M. on Friday and stole the decorated Christmas Tree on display in the lobby. A dispatcher tried to stop the suspect but was unsuccessful as the thief took off running down the street.

Moscow Hills, Mo – A fire in Lincoln County kills a young child. The fire broke out Saturday morning at a mobile home park in Moscow Hills. Firefighters discovered the body of a 7-year-old boy who died inside the home. Nine other people managed to escape with four being hospitalized from smoke inhalation. The cause of the fire is still under investigation.

Pittsburg, Ks – Coming off of Black Friday was Small Business Saturday, a spending holiday that means a lot to local shops across the area. In 2016 alone, AMericans spent 15.4 billion dollars. In Pittsburg, shoppers came from all over to support local businesses and cash in on good deals. Founded by American Express in 2010, small business Saturday is held each year to encourage more sales at small shops in town.
