BEHIND THE PAIN

A former Las Vegas police officer comes to the 4-States to share his experience in dealing with life behind the badge. Clarke Paris served on the force for 21 years. He used his experience during those two decades to create a documentary called “The Pain Behind the Badge: Winning the Wattle”. He and his wife travel the country discussing PTSD. The documentary and training helps other officers in dealing high stress incidents.

MILK SPILL

The Kansas Department of Health and Environment was called out to help clean up a crash on Highway 400 in Southeast Kansas. It was nothing terribly toxic, just milk. A truck carrying the milk had overturned spilling it onto the highway. The driver was taken to the hospital with minor injuries.

GUN CONTROL MARCH

Students began a 3-day march in Massachusetts advocating for stricter gun control. They kicked it off in Worcester….and are headed to the Smith and Wesson headquarters in Springfield, Massachusetts. Parkland shooting survivor David Hogg is also participating.

HURRICANE LANE

Hurricane Lane is bearing down on Hawaii. The slow-moving storm is dropping torrential rains, flooding low-lying areas, and causing landslides. Some parts of the big island received 20 inches of rain in just 24 hours. Even without a direct hit, forecasters warn Lane could cause major damage.
