Keep your pets warm

The bitter cold temps may have you running indoors to warm up, but don’t forget your four legged friends who may be outdoors.

The Joplin Humane Society says that while your pets may look warm with all that fur, they can get really cold, just like us. With the current frigid temperatures, it’s a good idea to get those pups, kittens, and other pets indoors!

“Dogs can actually regulate their temperature by the way they breathe and the way they pant and their fur, but there’s a point where you can’t get enough air in your lungs. When it’s that cold with the wind chill factor being that bad, it becomes extra dangerous,” said Robert Rauch with the Joplin Humane Society.
