The Kansas Department of Transportation announces approved bids for state highway construction and maintenance projects in Kansas. The letting took place March 25, 2020, in Topeka. Some of the bids may include multiple projects that have been bundled based on proximity and type of work.

 

 

District One — Northeast

 

Johnson ‑ 35‑46 KA‑5126‑02 ‑ I‑35, beginning at 135th Street north to 0.5 mile north of the 95th Street Bridge, guard fence, 6.5 miles, RF Beachner Contractors LLC, Pittsburg, Kan., $175,707.68.

 

Johnson ‑ 46 N‑0661‑01 ‑ Roe Boulevard, from Johnson Drive to the Wyandotte/Johnson county line in Roeland Park, grade and surfacing, 1.4 miles, Miles Excavating, Inc., Basehor, Kan., $6,825,460.79.

 

Riley ‑ 18‑81 KA‑3080‑01 – K-18, bridges #028 and #029 over Wildcat Creek located 0.56 and 0.57 mile respectively east of the K‑18/K‑113 junction, bridge replacement, Ebert Construction Co. Inc. & Subsidiary, Wamego, Kan., $8,912,567.06.

 

District Two — North Central

 

Geary ‑ 3‑31 KA‑5481‑01 – U.S. 40B3, from the east city limits of Junction City east to the I‑70/U.S. 40B3/K‑57 junction then east along ramp access road to the ramp, overlay, 1.7 miles, Shilling Construction Co. Inc., Manhattan, Kan., $1,214,451.70

 

Morris ‑ 177‑64 KA‑5540‑01 ‑ K‑177, bridge #037 over Elm Creek located 0.44 mile south of the west U.S. 56/K‑177 junction, bridge repair, PCI Roads, LLC, Saint Michael, Minn., $388,001.50.

 

Statewide ‑ 106 KA‑5478‑01 ‑ K‑18, from the Geary/Riley county line north 0.8 mile and from the east I‑70/K‑18 junction north to the Geary/Riley county line, milling and overlay, 3.6 miles, Shilling Construction Co. Inc., Manhattan, Kan., $1,418,259.29.
