KCU in Joplin hosts White Coat Ceremony for two students

JOPLIN, Mo. – KCU in Joplin today hosted two White Coat Ceremonies for students starting their medical school journey.

The university says the ceremony is special to KCU in the wake of the COVID-19 pandemic that demonstrated an urgent need for healthcare personnel.

One of the White Coat recipients, Andrew Greek, stated “I ust worked so hard to get here and to have this moment to kind of symbolize all of our hard work and our dedication up till now was fascinating. But also you know, it kind of symbolizes a lot of hard work to go, so.”

Students receiving White Coats today will go on to study Osteopathic Medicine.
