Karl E. Hansen

Karl E. Hansen, 91, of Kansas City, MO, formerly of Parsons, died at 8:28 P.M., Thursday, December 2, 2021 at the Kingswood Senior Living facility at Kansas City, MO.
He was born April 20, 1930 at Parsons, a son of Ernest Lee and Pearl Corinne (Richardson) Hansen. He grew up at Parsons and attended school here. After graduating from high school he attended the Parsons Junior College for two years and then enlisted in the United States Navy. He served four years during the Vietnam Conflict and after he was discharged, he took a job with Phillips Conoco and moved to Oklahoma City, OK. He was later transferred to Kansas City, MO and later went to work at Federal Reserve Bank. He retired from Federal Reserve in 1994.
On July 18, 1971 he was united in marriage to Deanna Rains at Lorado, MO.
Mrs. Hansen was a member of the First Christian Church at Lorado and Karl attended church with her. He was a pilot in earlier years and enjoyed flying.
Survivors include: his wife – Deanna Hansen, of the home; many nieces, nephews and cousins.
Funeral services will be held at 2:00 P.M., Tuesday, December 7, 2021 at the CARSON-WALL FUNERAL HOME with Travis Ball officiating. Burial will be in Memorial Lawn Cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home from 1:00 until 5:00 Monday afternoon. Memorials are suggested to the Salvation Army or to the University of Kansas Medical Center Foundation.
