Kansas lawmakers prepare to block tax breaks for abortion providers

Kansas lawmakers are preparing to block tax breaks for abortion providers but some legislators want to take it a step further.

They want to ban most abortions after a fetal heart beat is detected.

A bill passed by the House would keep abortion providers from claiming a wide range of tax exemptions and credits.

The measure, on the Senate agenda for debate, also bars abortion providers from providing materials and instructors to sex education classes in public schools.
