Kansas Governor appoints team to help with the state’s economic recovery

TOPEKA, Kan – Kansas Governor Laura Kelly says a team appointed to help her plan for the state’s economic recovery from the pandemic will begin discussing this week.

They will discuss how to spend the $1.25 billion in federal relief funds.

The Governor also says she’s confident she can work-out an agreement with the Republican-controlled legislature to give them some oversight on how the funds are spent.

Governor Kelly says the funds have to be distributed by the end of the year.
