Kansas Crossing Casino could open May 18 if Kansas moves forward to Phase 2

PITTSBURG, Kan. – Kansas Crossing Casino officials say opening their doors next week will depend on the state moving forward.

Kansas is currently in Phase 1 of Ad Astra- A Plan to Reopen Kansas. Phase 2 will start Monday, May 18, however, Kansas Governor Laura Kelly could announce changes or a delay.

Kansas Crossing Casino officials stated on social media that they’re working with state and local governments to open as soon as May 18, if Phase 2 of the reopening plan is approved.

They stated in part, “As soon as we have an opening date, we will let you know. When you return, things will look a bit different. Our casino-wide Extra Care initiative involves enhanced and more frequent cleaning of the casino, sanitizing stations, social distancing floor markings, temperature screening and more. We’ll be wearing our face masks and we recommend guests bring and wear theirs as well! Stay safe everyone, we can’t wait to see you!”
