Junior B Wallace

January 25, 1932 - December 31, 2019

Junior B. Wallace went to be with the Lord on December 31st 2019. He was 87. Junior was born January 25th, 1932, to Doggie B. Wallace and Beatrice (Hart) Wallace.

Junior was born in Chelsea, Ok but at a young age he and his wife Wanda Wallace moved to Miami where they became life long residents. Junior met Wanda J Collins at a very young age, they were married in 1950 and had two daughters, Joyce “ Diane” Wallace and Deborah Kay Wallace. Junior was married until 2000 when his wife passed away after 50 years of marriage. Junior had several jobs throughout the years including the oil field, B.F. Goodrich here in Miami, worked at Eagle-Picher, he drove a beer delivery truck for 17 years, worked in numerous grocery stores here in Miami, he along with two grandsons Brent and Nicholas Baine ran a roofing crew throughout the area for well over 10 years. At the time of the roofing Junior was well into his 60’s and 70’s. He was a security guard at the stables Casino for nearly 15 years.

He was the oldest sibling of four; he had three sisters, Carolyn “Sue” Garber, Shirley Lino, and Janice Childers. Mr. Wallace is preceded in passing by his parents, his wife, his three sisters, one daughter Deborah Kay Baine, and a girlfriend of 12 years Orlena Stanley from Quapaw, OK.

Junior loved to hunt and fish, crappie being his favorite. He also loved to watch the St. Louis Cardinals and if they weren’t playing the only other option of course would be westerns or “cowboys and Indians” as he would call them.

Survivors include a daughter Joyce “Diane” Wallace of Arkansas, three grandsons Brent, Nicholas, and Lucas Baine of Miami. Six great grandchildren Hailey, Colton, Kamdyn, Isabella, Ryan, and Willow of Miami and a great great grandchild currently on the way. Several nieces and nephews of the surrounding area, Jerry Alan Garber and wife Sandra of Wyandotte, Ok, Jeffrey Scott Garber and wife Kelli of Fairland, Ok, Dedra Ann Woods and husband Lane of Joplin, Mo, Benny Childers and wife Lindsay of the state of Illinois, Bobbi Ollis of Miami, Sherry and husband Mike Mullins of Miami, and Jason Childers.

Funeral services will be 2:00 p.m. Friday, January 3, 2020 at the Paul Thomas Funeral Home Chapel in Miami, OK. The family will receive friends from 1 to 2 p.m. Friday before the service at the funeral home.
