JOPLIN, Mo. – A high level of knowledge and a private, secure setting. That’s what Missouri Medical Marijuana is bringing to the table.

“We really go the extra mile to train our bud tenders on all the products that we do have in stock, so we can ensure the patient is given the right product for whatever they’re going through” says Christopher Degraff, Director of Dispensaries at Missouri Made Marijuana.

But perhaps the biggest advantage they’ll have is location.

“Driving to Neosho or Oklahoma can be pretty rough on gas and stuff like that, so it’s nice to have one that’s close,” says Joplin resident Garrick Reynolds.

Missouri Made Marijuana, at the corner of 15th and Rangeline in Joplin, is officially open. And it’s an exciting day for patients and employees alike.

“I’m super excited. I’m just excited for patients to come in and get what they need,” explains Samantha Palisay, a budtender at the dispensary.

The dispensary has been in the works for around a year, meaning that employees like Palisay — who was a nurse before taking a job at the dispensary — have been waiting for months to see patients walk through the doors.

“I was constantly calling and bugging the managers like, ‘When are we going? Come on now, come on,'” says Palisay.

“All the way from developing our location here to hiring the employees, training everybody, working our relationships up with the local vendors here in Missouri to find product for our patients, it’s been a long road,” says Degraff. “To finally be open and have people come in the doors here in Missouri in a new state is absolutely surreal to us.”

And now that they’re open, they want to keep getting better. The dispensary currently carries a few different strains of cannabis flower (or bud), pre-rolled joints, THC vape cartridges, and edibles. But they plan to add their own product lines very soon, so that their supply can keep up with demand.

“Just come on in and we’re here to help,” says Palisay.

The dispensary is open 24 hours a day, seven days a week.
