Joplin’s Empire Market Reopens to the Public
JOPLIN, Mo. – Joplin Empire Market reopens its doors to the community for the first time since late March.
Customers, vendors and staff inside the market were required to wear masks on Saturday. To keep everyone safe, booths were spaced out through all three market halls and decals were on the floor to mark six-feet for social distancing. Organizers say the citywide mask mandate has helped as far as making everyone feel comfortable to reopen. The market has been doing curb-side pickup since April, and is continuing to do curb-side for those who are not yet ready to head back inside.
