Joplin will lose flights to Chicago and Dallas in October
JOPLIN, Mo. – American Airlines plans to ground flights to and from Joplin Regional Airport beginning in October. The airline group says it will suspend Joplin’s flight service to and from Chicago and Dallas and service to 14 other markets on October 7th, 2020. American Airlines says it’s a result of low demand and the expiration of the air service requirements associated with the Coronavirus Aid, Relief and Economic Security (CARES) Act. The changes are only in place for the October schedule period which runs through November 3rd. For more information and a complete list of service suspensions click here.
