Joplin SWAT secure scene for ODET narcotics search warrant in East Town Neighborhood

ODET Detectives ongoing narcotics investigations are focused at 1107 East North St into the early hours of Wednesday morning.

1107 E North St, Joplin, Mo. where a narcotics search warrant was served late Tuesday night.

JOPLIN, Mo. — Just before 11 p.m. Tuesday evening Joplin Police SWAT assisted ODET (Ozark Drug Enforcement Team) serving a narcotics warrant at 1107 East North St.

Witnesses tell us a flash bang was used by Joplin Police SWAT as the operation began. The MRAP armored vehicle was utilized as well as a transport vehicle. 

Occupants of the residence were sitting across North Street, lined up in the curb, while detectives searched the house, a vehicle in the backyard and a shed.

An unknown number of people were detained and transported from the scene by Joplin Police. Names and charges are unknown.

A tow company arrived shortly after midnight to take possession of a reported stolen motorcycle.

Joplin Fire Dept arrived to assist during investigation to open a safe.

We anticipate more information from ODET Wednesday as the scene is still active as of the printing of this article.
