Joplin Schools cancel for Friday, AMI day announced
Carthage releases information on their Friday plans
JOPLIN, Mo. – In a release of information to students Joplin R-8 states there will be no school for Friday, February 4. However they are calling for a day of AMI (Alternative Method of Instruction).
Good afternoon Eagle Nation!Due to poor road conditions and forecasted low temperatures, Joplin Schools will be closed Friday, February 4th.Friday will be our first Alternative Method of Instruction day (AMI). Students are expected to complete the work given to them by their teachers. Your student may have paper packets or electronic assignments. Your child’s teacher will be available to respond to emails throughout the typical school day hours. If you have specific questions please reach out to your individual child’s teacher for information. AMI days are instructional days that are not added to the end of the school year.Stay safe and warm Eagles.
