Joplin resident details his life in self-written book

GIRARD, Kan. – Joplin resident puts newfound poetry skills to the test through the writing of his very own book.

On July 24th, 2020, Jimmy David lost one of his legs.

Since then, he has been using creative platforms to share his story, one of them being Facebook.

During his time reflecting, Davis noticed he was quite clever with words. Davis began writing poetry, and since decided he wanted to write his own book.

During that process, Davis met Kherz’den Humphrey, Davis’ ‘Ghost Writer’. Humphrey began helping Davis with his writing and composition.

Davis’ book, Tales, Short Stories, and Poems of a One-Legged Hippie will highlight the hardships in his life; including how he overcame said hardships.
