Joplin police investigate robbery at Walmart

JOPLIN, Mo. – Joplin police search for a suspect in a strong-armed robbery at Walmart.

On Feb. 12, 2020, at 5:50 p.m., officers responded to the store at 1501 S. Range Line Rd for a robbery.

When officers got there, they learned that a while male went inside and passed a bill asking for change. Once the money drawer was opened, the suspect demanded money.

Authorities say the suspect was given cash and then left the scene.

“A perimeter was set and a JPD K9 responded to the scene for a search. At this time the male suspect has not been located. Detectives with the Joplin Police Department are currently investigating this theft. Updates will be released as they become available.
