Joplin Police find heroin, cocaine and stolen firearm in drug bust

JOPLIN, Mo. – Joplin police arrest two men during a search warrant.

On January 16th, 2020, the Joplin Police Department SWAT team served a search warrant for the JPD investigations bureau. During the search warrant, multiple items of narcotics, paraphernalia, and a stolen firearm was found.

Police arrested Rico Hudson, 42, and Rashad Jackson, 24, both of Joplin.

In the home, police found heroin, cocaine, and various marijuana/THC substances. Also found during the search were two handguns, one which was reported stolen out of the city of Joplin.

The Jasper County Prosecutor’s Office have filed the following charges.

Hudson:
Delivery Of Controlled Substance Except 35 Grams Or Less Of Marijuana Or Synthetic Cannabinoid (2 counts)
Delivery Of 35 Grams Or Less Of Marijuana Or Synthetic Cannabinoid
Receiving Stolen Property
Unlawful Use Of Weapon – Subsection 11 – Possess Weapon And A Felony Controlled Substance

Jackson:
Possession Of Controlled Substance Except 35 Grams Or Less Of Marijuana/Synthetic Cannabinoid
Unlawful Use Of Weapon – Subsection 11 – Possess Weapon And A Felony Controlled Substance
