Joplin health officials announce 4 new cases of Covid-19
JOPLIN, Mo. — The Joplin Health Department announced four additional positive cases of COVID-19 on June 5, bringing the total number of cases within the city to 19. Officials say one individual lives in Joplin within Jasper County and the other three people live in Joplin within Newton County. They also say two of the new cases are contacts of a previously known case. The other two cases seem to have been infected through local transmission. As always the Joplin Health Department staff are working with the Missouri Department of Health and Senior Services to determine any close contacts of these individuals who were possibly exposed.
