Joplin Health Department confirms a non-travel related case of COVID-19 within the city

JOPLIN, Mo – The Joplin Health Department announces another confirmed COVID-19 case, bringing the total number of confirmed cases within the city to 15.

The most recent case doesn’t appear to be travel related.

At a briefing yesterday, the city’s Health Director says 46 people are under quarantine.

He also said asymptomatic cases are increasing so it’s important to wear a mask while in public.
