Joplin Empire Market kicks off fourth annual holiday market

JOPLIN, Mo.– The Joplin empire market kicked off its fourth annual holiday market.

The market included special holiday festivities like photos with Santa and other holiday-themed vendors.

The market will also be hosting special holiday programs for kids and local charities from now until Christmas as their way of giving back during the holiday season.

“We have more jewelry, we have handmade leather goods, we have a local children’s book author. We have our alpaca products back just for the holiday season. So it’s really a way to come in and show your support for the small businesses that help make up our community,” said Ivy Hagedorn, programming and Marketing Director for the Joplin Empire Market.

The holiday market will continue every Saturday until Christmas, and will also have a special event on Christmas Eve.
