JOPLIN, Mo. – Joplin empire market hosted its third annual Paris Week on Saturday. The event takes the culture and food of Paris and brings it to Joplin. Vendors at the market take part by putting a Parisian twist on their products. The market encouraged the public to take part by dressing up and wearing Parisian items like berets. Vendors used their creativity to put a French twist on their items.

“Everybody’s put a little bit of a french twist on what they’re doing. here at the grill, my wife is cooking up some special brisket sandwiches on french baguettes and of course french beignets,” said Mark Thompson, owner of Sweet Springs Garden and Grill.

The event is usually in February but was postponed to April this year due to the pandemic.
