John Owen (J.O.) Smith went to be with his Lord and Savior May 21, 2021. He went peacefully at home. He was a member of the Emmanuel Baptist Church. J.O. as everyone in the Miami area knew him, was a hard worker and did many jobs to provide for his family. He worked at Bargin Charlies where he did TV and appliance repair. After that he did mostly truck driving, hauling mobile homes, heavy hauling, boats, produce, and lastly bulk mail for USPS. He not only worked hard, he also played hard. He liked to ride horses, 4-wheelers, side x sides, jet skis, boating, water skiing and camping with his family. The kids laughed because he always spent hours setting up the satellite TV, so he could watch his westerns at night when they were camping in the motorhome.
