Jimmy Eugene “Jim” Boston, 89, of Noel, Missouri, passed away on Sunday, August 30, 2020 at the McDonald County Living Center in Anderson, Missouri.

He was born on July 8, 1931 in Ft. Gibson, Oklahoma to the late, Floyd and Alta (Roberts) Boston. He proudly served our Country in United States Air Force. He earned a Bachelor’s Degree from Oklahoma State University in Electrical Engineering. Jim worked for General Electric in Syracuse, New York and for 2 years in Shemya, Alaska in the Aleutian Islands as a radar technician. He was a school teacher in Broken Arrow, Oklahoma; was a farmer and raised chickens; was a builder, building Recreational Vehicles, chicken houses, fireplaces and built the water tower in Stella, Missouri. He retired as a realtor, owning and operating the Boston Realty in Noel, Missouri. Jim married Joan Kay Smith on August 22, 1981. He was a member of the United Methodist Church in Noel, Missouri.

Jim is survived by his wife, Joan Kay Boston of the home; James Boston and wife, Jaymey of Decatur, Arkansas, Andrea Burrows and husband, Kevin of Goodman, Missouri; five grandchildren and three great grandchildren; as well as a host of other family and friends who will dearly miss Jim.

Graveside service will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Friday, September 4, 2020 at the Noel Cemetery in Noel, Missouri. Pastor Sherie Wymore will officiate. Lewis David, Paul Gardner, Everett Gardner, Chuck Thacker, James Boston II and Roger Porter will honor Jim’s life by serving as pallbearers. Visitation will be held from 2:00 pm to 6:00 pm on Thursday, September 3, 2020 at the Noel Chapel of the Ozark Funeral Home.
