More than four hundred kids are in foster care and Jasper county hopes to find CASA volunteers to help some of them through the court system. An executive director has been hired to lead the Jasper County Court Appointed Special Advocate (CASA) program. The program is looking for those willing to make a connection with kids taken from their homes for various reasons and also those who want to support the program through fundraising. We talk with the coordinators and with a woman formerly in foster care about the difference advocates can make on tonight’s news.
