Jason Elmer Brundridge
August 17, 1975 ~ September 28, 2022
Jason Elmer Brundridge, 47, Nevada, MO, passed away on Wednesday September 28, 2022 of natural causes. He was born on August 17, 1975, to Michael A Brundridge and Susan Violet Geertsen (Hayes). Jason grew up in Missouri. He attended the Cedar Ridge State School in Nevada Missouri in the early 1990s and was a client of Skills Unlimited for many years. He also attended the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints.
Jason was a very special person and was loved by all who knew and worked with him. He had challenges in his life, but he had a very strong spirit. He liked country music, fishing, stickers, cartoons, and superheroes, especially Batman and Spiderman. He liked the movie Sister Act, which he called “Sister Nuns” and could watch it over and over. Jason would often engage people in conversation by saying things like “how you doing?”, “like you too”, or calling people his “best friend”. He liked to scare people by pretending to be a monster and growling, saying “I growl at you” and then laughing about it. He brought joy to all who knew him.
Jason is survived by his father Michael and stepmother, Marcia, and his stepfather Barak Geertsen. He is also survived by his brothers Chris and Jamie and sisters Candi, Samantha, Pepper, and Misty and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his mother, Susan Geertsen.
A viewing for family and friends will be held at Ferry Funeral Home at 1:30 pm on Monday, October 3rd. Graveside services will follow at 3:00 pm at Moore Cemetery in Nevada. The family wishes to thank the staff of Skills Unlimited for their many years of loving service to Jason.
