Janice Faye “Grannie Jan” Moore, passed from this life at the age of 77 to her heavenly home on Tuesday afternoon, January 8, 2019 while in the comfort of her home and surrounded by her loving family.

Jan was born August 31, 1941 in Ramona, OK, daughter of the late Otis and Nola (Brown) Wofford. She grew up in Talala, OK, where she graduated from high school. She then furthered her education at Rogers University in Claremore, OK. For many years, Jan worked in the shoe department at Wal-Mart. She was a member of New Site Baptist Church as well as the American Legion Ladies Auxiliary in Talala. Jan enjoyed singing, working with youth and especially spending time with her family.

On April 13, 1964, Jan married Bob J. Moore in Joplin, MO. They were blessed with over fifty-three years of wonderful memories made together until his passing on July 25, 2017.

Jan is survived by her sons, Dusty Moore, of Monett and Greg Moore, of Pierce City; one daughter, Brenda Fisher and husband Mike, of Independence, MO; two brothers, Joe Wofford and wife Joyce, of Cecilia, KY and Darold Wofford, of Miami, OK; one sister-in-law, Norma Strouse, of Monett; ten grandchildren, Shannon Lambertson, Joshua Moore, Dusty Joe Moore, Jonathon Hunter, Austin Elsey, Naoko Morris, Tara Ackerman, Logan Elsey, Tanner Lee Moore and Nicole Rogers; as well as a host of great-grandchildren and extended family and friends.

Jan was preceded in death by her husband; her parents; and one grandson, Randall Scott Moore.

Memorial services will be held 11:30 a.m. Saturday, January 12, 2019 at New Site Baptist Church in Monett. Reverend Aaron Weibel will be officiating. Visitation will be from 10:00 a.m. until service time on Saturday at the church. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to the New Site Baptist Church Building Fund in care of the funeral home. Arrangements have been entrusted to Buchanan Funeral Home, Monett, MO.
