James Milton Jordan

James Milton Jordan, age 96, of Everton, Missouri, passed away at 8:06 p.m. on Monday, April 4, 2022, at the Manor at Elfindale, in Springfield, Missouri. He was born February 27, 1926, in Wheeling, West Virginia, the son of Mike and Dana (Owens) Jordan.
Jim was a U.S. Marine Veteran serving during World War II. He was a Journeyman Plumber for local 83 in Wheeling, West Virginia for 70 years. He worked as an Engineer for General Electric for 17 years overseeing the rebuilding of steam engines and turbines all over the United States and South America. He was of Methodist Faith.
In 1958, he married Lela Mae Whorton in Wheeling, West Virginia. She preceded him in death on November 20, 2010.
Jim is survived by three sons, James Jordan and his wife, Diane, of Wheeling, West Virginia, Jimmy McNeal and his wife, Debbe, of St. Charles, Missouri and Norman McNeal and his wife Kay, of Everton, Missouri; daughter-in-law, Tammy Jordan of Woodlands, Texas; one brother, Nick Jordan of Pittsburg, Pennsylvania and 11 grandchildren and 19 great-grandchildren.
Jim was preceded in death by his parents, Mike and Dana; his wife, Lela Mae, and one sister Flora Jo.
There are no services planned at this time. Arrangements are under the direction of the Fossett-Mosher Funeral Home in Mt. Vernon, Missouri.
