Jake’s Fireworks: Fourth of July cleanup
While the Fourth of July is filled with fiery fun, many people don’t know how to dispose of used fireworks safely and properly.
Jesse talks with Cash Marieta of Jakes Fireworks and grandson of the eponymous Jake to get a few tips.
Firstly, you should soak used fireworks in water after your night winds down to ensure there is no chance of a fire the next day.
If a firework was a dud and didn’t ignite, you should wait fifteen to twenty minutes before approaching it. Once you’re sure it won’t ignite, you should soak it in water to eliminate the chance of ignition.
Although fireworks are constructed out of paper and cardboard, they’re are not recyclable.
