Iola restaurant offering “Pizza Kit” for at-home family activity
Sam and Louie's started offering the kit Friday.
Many 4-state restaurants are closed for in-person service, and have moved to curbside and delivery options.
Sam and Louie’s Italian Restaurant in Iola is one of the restaurants that has moved to curbside and delivery, and they’ve added a family activity to the menu.
The restaurant started offering a “Pizza Kit” on Friday. That kit comes complete with ingredients to make four personal-size pizza, including dough, flour for stretching, pizza sauce, cheese and a choice of up to two toppings.
They’re hoping the kit provides families with a meal and a cool family activity.
“I think it will be great for young kids. My wife and I have young ones ourselves so we can relate,” says Owner and General Manager Toby Shaughnessy, “This will be a great activity for them. There’s always a need for a new activity. Especially with the last nine weeks of school getting let out. They’re going to have a lot of free time with their children. We hope that it’s something we can create that will be good for bonding time for family.”
Each kit is $25 and comes with instructions for preparation.
