Intoxicated driver hits Missouri Highway Patrol vehicle
BARRY COUNTY, Mo. – The Missouri State Highway Patrol issues a warning after a crash involving one of their own.
The crash happened Sunday around 7:00 a.m. on Highway 37, about a half mile south of Purdy, Missouri. According to the crash report, a Chevrolet truck hit a Ford Explorer Police Interceptor in the back at a high rate of speed. The trooper was in the vehicle at the time.
Troop D, which covers southwest Missouri, posted images on Twitter. They say the driver of the truck was intoxicated and posted to social media, “There is absolutely no good reason to driver impaired!”
According to the crash report, there were only minor injuries.
