Identity released of Joplin shooting victim found on Hill Street
JOPLIN, Mo. – Joplin Police identify the victim of a shooting on Hill Street as Daniel Samuels.
Samuels, age 47 of Joplin, is currently in stable condition at a local hospital, according to the Joplin Police Department. Detectives are still investigating the shooting.
On Tuesday afternoon around 3:42 pm, police responded to a 911 call of gunshots at 1201 E. Hill Street.

Joplin Police Officers got there and found an adult male, Samuels, with gunshot injuries. METS Ambulance Service rushed him to the hospital, considered to be in critical injuries.
The Joplin Police Department is investigating. They have not made any arrests, according to the department’s media release.
