Ida “Claudette” Godsey

Ida “Claudette” Godsey age 71 of Fairland, passed peacefully July 20th, 2022, at her home in Fairland, Oklahoma with her husband William “Bill” Godsey by her side. Claudette was born on March 15th, 1951, in Fairland, Oklahoma the daughter of David and Nathalyia Jones.
Claudette was usually cooking meals for her family and feeding anyone who stepped through the door. There was never an individual who left without a full belly or full heart. Taking great joy in being “mom” to all who entered her home.
Claudette is proceeded in death by both parents David and Nathalyia, three brothers Billy Jones, David Lee Jones, and Dale Jones, sister Davetta Cox, two daughters Kimberly Greenfeather and Stephanie Hernandez, and great-grandson Kallon Selsor.
She is survived by her husband of 23 years William “Bill” Godsey of the home, two sons James Earl Schumaker of Fairland, Wilbert Sala and wife Cindy of Grove, one daughter Samantha Bratcher and husband Aaron of Grove, and One sister Ginger Jones of Miami. Twenty-eight grandchildren and Twelve great-grandchildren and many other relatives.
Claudette loved working on her here flower beds and garden as much as possible. A wonderful cook that always had enough for everyone and anyone. There wasn’t a plant she couldn’t make grow; never giving up on something that most would. A wonderful mother who adopted any child who needed love and time that came through her door.
Claudette always offered a loving home and loving heart. Claudette’s services will be like her life simple and comforting.
Services will be on Sunday, July 24th at the home. Proceeded with a meal and gathering of love and laughter.
