Saturday marked opening day at the Pittsburg farmer’s market pavilion. Around ten different vendors opened up their booths to sell a variety of items such as meats, donuts, jams and soaps.

Organizers and vendors both say it’s a great place to get some local produce while supporting local artisans.

Amber Devena with the Pittsburg parks and recreation department said, “Everything here is locally produced and our vendors, they work hard throughout the season.”

Meagan Constantini, one of the vendors said, “It’s a great place for people to come out. It’s a friendly atmosphere and environment and they can get really good produce at great prices”

The market is open from 8:00am until noon at 11th and Broadway every Saturday until October 26th.
