High School football preview Pt. 2 (8-30)

KOAM Sports Director and our resident sports expert Jacob Leonard stops by to preview some of the high profile high school football games for Friday, August 30th.

First up is Logan-Rogersville traveling to Lamar to take on the tigers.

Lamar is looking to rebound after a disappointing season that had them failing to win the Class 2 stae championship for the first time since 2010.

While they’re undoubtedly upset that their championship streak has ended, Jacob says he sees the team as loose and motivated now that the pressure of continuing the streak is now behind them.

Up next is Carthage taking on Nixa.

Jacob Highlights their Junior quarterback Patrick Carlton and their defensive line.

Carthage has made the semifinals three of the last four years and Jacob expects them to make it again this year.

Finally, Mount Vernon taking on Monett.

Jacob expects Monett to bounce back with eight returning starters from last season.
