JOPLIN, Mo. – Missouri Southern State University is kicking off its annual Mass Band Day with area high school band participants.

Students arrived at 8:00 A.M. today to begin working as sectionals ahead of their halftime performance with the Lion Pride Marching Band.

The performance features songs that honor veterans and first responders for their service.
