Harryman Named Joplin High School Head Softball Coach

JOPLIN – Joplin High School Athletic Director Jeff Starkweatherannounced on Monday that Kirk Harryman has been named the school’s next headsoftball Coach. Harryman replaces ShallyLundien who resigned after 1 year.

Harryman, who is the current head baseball coach at Joplin,was the head softball coach at Joplin from 2001-2010 and guided his teams to 8conference championships, and district titles in 2004 and 2007. During thattime he compiled a record of 179-110. He takes over a program that finishedlast season with a record of 11-17.

“We are excited to have Coach Harryman back leading oursoftball program,” Starkweather said. “He has a proven track record and withthe talent this team has coming back, we feel very good about the future ofJoplin Lady Eagles softball.”
