Hammin’ it up at Hamfest

JOPLIN, Mo. – Have you ever heard of a Hamfest?

Well, if you’re hungry you’ll be disappointed, but if you like ham radios, this is probably right up your alley.

Joplin’s Amateur Radio Club met outside the John Q. Hammons Convention Center to share their love for their hobby.

The event drew vendors from all over the country who were selling parts for radios and other electronics.

Due to COVID-19, vendors kept the party outside to encourage social distancing. More than 30 vendors participated in this year’s Hamfest.
