Golf Lessons with Community Support Services

A group of golfers get together inside to teach the sport to others.

The MSSU golf team met at the Carl McConnell activity center with Community Support Services, to teach the sport to those who are developmentally disabled or with special needs.

CSS aims at providing support services for individuals with developmental disabilities. About 20 attended the lessons and had a great time doing it.

“One of the main reasons that we’re doing that is so that people that want to become involved in golf lessons and a golf program have the ability to do so, so there is a program available to them if they just know that it’s out there” says goals coordinator Jeremy Gibson.

Officials say they’ll continue to have golf lessons every other Friday at the CSS Building from 5:30 to 7:00 PM and that it’s important to teach others these sports to build healthy habits and to teach them fun and exciting hobbies.
