Alpaca babies make their Joplin debut

Baby Alpaca Ringo Starr Makes His Joplin Debut

JOPLIN, Mo. – Four-staters spent their Sunday checking out two alpaca babies over at the Magajupa Mine Alpaca Farm.

Ringo Starr, a brown baby alapaca, has just turned 3-weeks-old but wasn’t too shy. And Illusion, a white baby alpaca who’s five-weeks-old, was also out and about meeting people.

There are 13 alpacas on the farm, and Ringo and Illusion are the first babies for owner Daryel Shaffer.

Folks were welcome to come out and hang out with all the alpacas free of charge, although donations were accepted.
