Frontenac boys climb to #5 in state rankings

The Raiders are 6-1 to start the season.

FRONTENAC, Kan. – The Frontenac boys continue climb in the state rankings.

The Raiders are up to #5 in the latest KBCA poll released on Tuesday afternoon; up four spots from #9 in last week’s poll.

Frontenac is 6-1 to begin the season, including a big win over Galena. The Bulldogs were previously in the top-5 in the state, but have now slipped down to #7 in this week’s KBCA 3A poll.

There are 7 local teams in the latest KBCA rankings this week:

BOYS: Pittsburg (#10, 5A), Frontenac (#5, 3A), Galena (#7, 3A) and Erie (#7, 2A)

Girls: Labette County (#6, 4A), Colgan (#4, 2A) and St. Paul (#4, 1A DI)
