Tuesday Blog: Watching a few systems. -Doug
Watching a few systems. -Doug
I hope your week has started off great so far. It is definitely colder than what we saw over the weekend. However, it won’t last long. Still cold on Tuesday with a lot of clouds.
A weak wave will give us a lot of clouds and maybe a few sprinkles or flurries late in the day. This system will mainly stay north and east of us as we stay in the NW flow with the Jet Stream.
We are going to start to see waves dipping finally into the SW US. Now, all the arctic air is locked up north, but this will get some storm system farther south as the pattern will start to pic up the next two weeks. Back to the 50s by Wednesday.
Then check this out, 70s or near record highs by Friday.
Much stronger system rolls through late Friday and Saturday. Last time in the Heady Pattern this was a series of two systems and very wet. The pattern is a little different this time with the arctic air locked so far north and as of right now this system looks to develop mainly east of the area instead of on top of us. But something I want to watch the next few days. Turning much colder this weekend. Long range forecast below.
Next week: Warming back up by mid week with a storm system with rain chances Thursday through Saturday. This will also cool us back down the second half of the week.
Sunday 19th-Saturday 25th: A mild start to the week with rain chances on Monday. Cooling down with rain or snow chances on Thursday and Friday (Christmas Eve).
26th-Jan. 1st: Mainly a cool or cold week with snow chances on Monday and Tuesday. Mainly dry and cool the rest of the week.
