Joplin, Mo – A Baxter Springs, Kansas area resident has alerted Freeman Health System and authorities of a possible scam. On June 8, 2020, the resident reported that two people, a man and woman, traveled in her neighborhood asking people if they had breathing problems or hay fever. The man came to the door of her home saying he was with Freeman, flashing a badge. He claimed be giving away free breathing treatments and offered to demonstrate a nebulizer called “My Buddy.”

Freeman Health System does not conduct door-to-door demonstrations of products or endorse a specific nebulizer machine, nor does it offer free breathing treatments. The subjects in question do not represent Freeman Health System.

The reporting party described the couple as driving a silver Honda van with the male being adamant about entering homes. If approached, please contact your local law enforcement authorities.
